3. Changes in mood and personality
An awareness that one is losing control of their lives causes frustration and depression. They become brusque, insensitive and easily upset over minor things like a slight disruption in routine at home work with friends. They become confused, anxious, fearful and suspicious sometimes lashing out at family and caregivers thinking they are trying to hurt them. They become subdued and withdrawn especially in socially challenging situations.
4. Poor judgement and decision making
Alzheimer’s patients experience lapses in making judgement especially in financial matters. One may find them giving out large amounts of money to telemarketers. They pay less attention to personal grooming and may even fail to take baths and make the wrong choices in grooming for different occasions and weather.
